A bolt from the blue: Xiaomi Mi Note 3 to Release on Sep. 11

A bolt from the blue. We have been waiting for the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 to be announced on September 11. It’s also been said a new Xiaomi laptop will be unleashed at the same event. But there was no hint Xiaomi will release the third-gen Xiaomi Mi Note 3 as well. The only news came yesterday. We saw three strange posters announcing the Mi Note 3 is coming. Today Xiaomi officially announced its next flagship will be unveiled at the conference. Thus history repeats itself. The Xiaomi Mi MIX and Mi Note 2 were announced at the same event. This is going to become a tradition. But whether the world is ready for it remains a big question.

Xiaomi MI Note 3

According to the company, the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 will be the larger variant of the Mi 6. This statement explains the confusion we had yesterday. As you remember, the posters showcased the Mi Note 3’s back shell identical to the Mi 6. Now when we know this phone will be the larger model of the most powerful Mi phone, it becomes logical why they have been sporting the same back shell design.

Apart of this, we have heard there will be no Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus. The only large-screen phone from this range should be the Mi Note 3. It turns out this source is more reliable than those that have been claiming a larger-screen Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus is coming.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is codenamed as Jason, which has appeared on the GFX Benchmark database. Reportedly, it sports a 5.46-inch Full HD screen, Snapdragon 660 chip, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory, 16MP front camera, dual-camera on the back supporting optical zoom, and many more. But what’s interesting and expected, the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 will use a four-sided curved design. Thus the Xiaomi Mi 6’s stylish look will get stronger. The only disappointing thing is the switch from Xiaomi 835 to 660. But we have taken a closer look at the latter and we know it provides great performance as well.
